How Mitico Came To Be
The company began a long time ago when I couldn’t find anything super for my own first child. I started some products, found out about a lot of federal regulations that made them impossible to be cute, usable, and legal (like a binky string) and then gave up for some time. After my second miscarriage and trying to find myself, I discovered that I REALLY loved to design, and realized that that’s what I’ve been enjoying all these years about all the avenues I’ve been pursuing. Thus, I decided to REALLY get rolling again with Mitico after designing and hand painting a ‘5‘ shirt for my son’s birthday. After of course some push from all the people around who love me and thought that what I was doing was fantastic. So I plunged into my first boutique and brought Mitico with me. My dream is to keep designing and to some day have Mitico be SUPER HUGE- like all those other baby companies, because that’s what I’ve always wanted for it. So keep coming back to see what’s new here with us :) Everyone starts out small at some point- watch us grow!
The Mitico Name
What’s in a name? Well, sometimes it’s fun to know...
Origins: Italian (I’m 1/4 Italian- so I HAD to bring that in somehow...)
Pronunciation: “in English please”- mi- (like mi as in mitt) ti- (like tea) co (like co ed) MITICO, Italian- sounds like meeteeco
Meaning: LITERAL- Mythical, Legendary, Fantastic, Brilliant, Fabulous, but can also be used as SLANG for- someone who is at the top of their game (but I was told by my Italian cousin it’s really not used much...)
